These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of createastudyplan.com and the Study Planner application (the "Service"), operated by Study Planner ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
The Service is intended for students. If you are under the age of 13, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent, guardian, or school. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or guardian to use the Service.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You may sign in using an email/password or via "Sign in with Google." You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account.
The Service uses AI agents (built on Anthropic Claude models via Amazon Bedrock) to help generate study plans, course content, and quizzes, and may use web search as a supplementary source when generating course content. AI-generated content can be incomplete or inaccurate. It is provided to support your studying, not as a substitute for your teacher's instruction, your coursework, or your own judgment — always verify important content (exam dates, graded requirements, factual material) against your course materials and instructor.
You retain ownership of the course materials, notes, and other content you upload or enter into the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit Your Content — including to Amazon Bedrock and, when used, to web search — solely to operate and provide the Service to you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any materials (e.g. syllabi, lecture content) you submit. When you add a YouTube link as course content, or when the Course Agent searches YouTube on your behalf via the YouTube Data API, we store the video's link and metadata for listing purposes only; we do not download or host the underlying video, and opening a video takes you to YouTube directly, subject to YouTube's own Terms of Service.

If you use "Sign in with Google," your use of that feature is also subject to Google's own terms. We only request your email address for authentication — nothing more, as described in our Privacy Policy. Video content surfaced or linked through the Service is provided by YouTube, opens on YouTube directly, and is subject to Google's and YouTube's own terms.
You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the Service or other users.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service, including AI-generated study plans and content, will be error-free, uninterrupted, or improve your academic outcomes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Study Planner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
